Textural Art - Wabi Sabi Art - and More
My acrylic palette knife works are done instinctively and spontaneously. Some pieces own a hint of nature or a whisper of Native American. Others embody the beauty of wabi sabi sprinkled with the mystery and sacredness of the ancients. All speak to my primal love of texture. For me, adhering accents of paper I’ve stamped with acrylic inks give an intonation of tribal while allowing me the tactile satisfaction I get from layering paper upon paint and upon other paper. Most of the palette knife works are on gallery wrapped canvas that don't require framing. The sides of the canvas are white and also textured to continue the textured theme.
Other of these works are created using watercolor, drawing, and various other materials that my aesthetic sensibility insists on including.
